An Ulam pattern is a sequence of prime numbers wrapped in a square-like spiral. See what it looks like from various starting Numbers and also various positions within the Ulam. Overlay Ulam spirals to form interesting patterns.
Sorry for the problem. Just to let you know, this is my first posted scenario so maybe I didn't build it correctly; if I screwed up, once again, sorry. This is what I did to respond to your question:
1. downloaded and extracted zip file
2. dropped Ulam_1_02_full on my Greenfoot shortcut
3. Compile all
4. added actor class to ulamWorld
5. Run
it works!
Please let me know if I can be more helpful.
Just to make it clear, this scenario isn't functional here on the gallery: It's intended to be downloaded and played around with in Greenfoot. (Right wjm?)
Yes, it must be run locally. Maybe I don't understand how to control the gallery, but I just don't see how to include Actor objects (and the terminal window) in the world in any other way. That's why I also exported, in addition to the full version, a 'sample' version (with reduced functionality) so that you could see what an Ulam spiral looks like.
