Consider using a trigger key to switch screens instead of a timer. Also, I think the abrupt spawning is too sudden, especially when it's possible to instantly loose via shark spawn. Consider increasing the speed of the arrows or switching to mouse control.

Really great recreation! I used to play this all the time as a kid so it's just a wave of nostalgia, awesome job! Maybe apply CheckKeyPress() for your control screen instead of a 5 second times, just in case people need more time to look at it
