When you export from Greenfoot, the export dialog has a checkbox named "Lock scenario". By default it is checked, but if you uncheck it, you can change the speed of the game on the gallery.
I didn't find it too fast, I found it really slow on my machine. But I do have a few suggestions: first my lives never went below 3 no matter how many times I died, it's quite annoying that you have to click three buttons (the dialog, run and restart) in order to restart the game after you've died and it'd be nice if you could move backwards too.
@ polle:
Thank you, this was very helpful, because I just found out that the checkbox "Lock scenario" only exists in the English version of Greenfoot. Freddy apparently has set the language to German (in the configuration file bluej.defs).
@ freddy:
Stelle zum Exportieren die Sprache in \Greenfoot\lib\bluej.defs auf english, dann kannst du den Geschwindigkeitsregler in das Applet übernehmen.
The problem with the checkbox only available in the English version sounded very strange to me (that's not supposed to be like that!), so I just investigated.
It is an unfortunate formatting problem. Because the German checkbox text is longer, on some systems with specific fonts, it will not fit into the dialogue box, and scroll down into an invisible area of the dialogue. (Unfortunately, the dialogue does not resize as it should.) The checkbox is there, just not visible.
Fix: resize the Export dialogue manually (make it bigger). You should see the checkbox, even in German. We will attempt to fix this.
I agree. I only tried on the easy setting so far, and I never made it! I think easy should be a bit easier. I can get over the road and the track, but I fall into the water. Maybe the logs and water lilies could go more slowly.
I also think it would look nicer if the dialogue box when you get run over would not be a separate dialogue, but displayed inside your scenario (maybe together with the Reset button). Now I have to click twice (Okay in the dialogue, and then Reset) - then I could read the message and just click Reset...

thanks for your comments, and now I know what yuo mean, delmar : I have a slowly computer and there it was easy. But when I was at the computer of my dad, it was hard to go to the tent!
The problem with the dialoguewindow isn't there anymore!
Nice!
Cool new opening sequence, and I like the handling of losing a life (without the separate dialogue box) much better too. And I finally got across!
If you wanted to make it just a little bit harder (and more interesting), you could make the middle row of the cars go at a different speed (a little slower or faster than the other rows).
Nice game.
Nice take on frogger. what you might want to do is change the movement so that when you press up or down the pig moves within a grid (each lane of traffic/each lillypod or log). and you might want to correct your spelling at the end. other than that very nice!
come on! see the new version of Pigworld!!! x-)
please write me, what do you think about this or what I have to do better (not the second level of stablehunt) !
x-)
The addition of the time limit is good. The hard level isn't very hard, though. Maybe the cars could be faster in this level (instead of more cars). Or you should have less time.

You can - but it's far neater if the game starts off at a usable speed, or if necessary adjusts the speed when you get to stable hunt so it's a bit slower. Relying on the user to change it to a speed that suits them really isn't the best way of doing things, since if you lock the scenario later and it's at the same speed it'll be pretty much unplayable!
