How to Play

⦁ When the project is run, an intro will play, followed by a title screen. Click Space to proceed to the song selection screen.

⦁ Select the song of your choice. The credits button displays credits, the arrow buttons are for navigating to other songs, and the play button is to play the song. Songs with harder difficulties yield more points.

⦁ Once the play button is clicked, a series of calculus questions will appear for the player to answer. Getting a question correct leads to an additional point, and the reverse is true for an incorrect answer. Three points lead to the enactment of the song.

⦁ Use the 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 number keys to activate the appropriate buttons, and press space (the strum key) to strum. Notes are hit by stumming while activating the correct buttons, while the notes are over the buttons. Getting a note correct earns 50 points, while strumming a wrong note and missing a note both subtract 100 points.

⦁ However, since this is the calculus edition, there is a special opportunity every 45 seconds. A calculus question will appear, and the successful answer to said question will give the player double the usual quantity of points for strumming a correct note.

⦁ There is no penalty for incorrect questions that appear mid-song. If you write a wrong answer, you have a chance to solve subsequent mid-song problems to regain double points.

⦁ Once you score at least 100,000 points in total, a secret prize will be unlocked.
