serious tho very clever! the computer im guessing u just get the ball Y value and assign it to the paddle Y value? the better the computer the quicker it can move to keep with the ball... very impressive how much programming did you do before the course fella?

Was the X not the Y but yea thats it. I started 3d game programming back in 2005 and was fiddling about in C before that, so I have quite a bit of a head start. But I was never taught I learnt myself which means im actually pretty rubbish lol. But I can make things work :) just... not... work.. well... as is evident in the games ive published on here... every single one of which has had major FPS issues lol

"Took out the particle effects as it seems to lag over the internet :/" Particle effects are perfectly do-able using applets, but for it to work without lag you'll have to make the images static so you don't reload them every time you use them - my guess is this was where your lag was coming from.

Aye "I can make things work :) just... not... work.. well..." I realise there is a better way to do things I just didnt want to make my first assignment too complex.
