It's in java.util.Arrays. Make sure you have the latest version of java, as that method was only added in version 1.6. (Man, I really need to finish this.)

Nice. The only clipping bug I found was that you can go through a platform if neither your head nor your feet hit it. Also, you can super-jump while running into a wall that you can normally jump over.
Whew, got 7718. Nice game, but it's a bit hard on the eyes. Could you make the vehicle or whatever it is stick out a bit more and look like something? Also, "Greenfoot Gallery is a showcase of two-dimensional Greenfoot scenarios in Java." <== That needs to be changed. There aren't just 2d scenarios anymore.

The controls feel a bit cramped. For a, b, jump and shield, P1 could have f, g, t, r, and P2 could have ; ' [ and p. and you could just use space as a pause.

It's nice to see well-ripped graphics for a change. (no, seriously, I'm not being sarcastic - ripped graphics ruined laxius power for me). It would be nice to be able to see your recharge time in battle, like in the later FF's (7, 8).

I forced a draw - I did top-left, bottom-left, top-right, middle-right, middle-middle. I don't think it's possible to make the computer win.
This particular scenario is just an example, and wasn't meant to have particularly stable orbits. In the game I'm making with it, I made everything bounce off the edges of the screen. If I were to allow things to go off the edge, I would probably use your second solution.
