It's too bad that you have to use hackish methods to get this to work, preventing actor rotation/transparency working without some extra code, but it looks and functions awesomely :D It might be an interesting challenge to make the Magnifier class completely self sufficient, so you wouldn't need any of the extra code in TheWorld, and you wouldn't need to but all other actors in a subclass of OtherActor. That way anybody could import your class into their scenario and have a magnifier :D
I'm pleased all of you are liking it! I'm going to be posting an ambiance update in a bit which will include additional details, small scares, sounds, and props. Afterwards I'm going to be working on revamping the main menu system in anticipation for the newest Greenfoot release, as well as more areas!
Not a bug, just the way saving scores works. Check out some of the posts in http://www.greenfoot.org/topics/736 for more information on how the Greenfoot Highscore/Data storage system is going to work in 2.2.0 :D

Footstep sounds might be good ^^ I'm pleased you enjoyed the game so much! And yeah b321234 there was an update and now there is a chapter 3 :) Once you find all the keys, you can leave the chapter, although I might need to make it more obvious which door gets unlocked.
Go exploring! The cards are around there somewhere :)
It's good feedback though ^^ I'll work on making some of the doors more visible :)
Did you find the door near the bottom of the area? It leads into a small maintenance area where you can turn the lights back on.
Oh nice catches, and I guess the text issues revolve around Greenfoot using different default text's for different computer, I will have to look into that for sure. I'll post a new updated fixed version very soon!
